Waymo’s fully driverless vehicles are doing passenger trips in the suburbs outside Phoenix, Arizona. We got to experience it first hand, and our ride included a close brush with a construction site, a wrong turn, and a flock of pigeons. But more importantly, it got us thinking about what it means when Waymo says the future is driverless, and what we lose when we eliminate human driving.

  1. "You can trust these robots" that's the perfect line in the beginning of a Sci-fi horror movie. Actually this whole video can be the first 7 minutes, then 100 years later…….. 🤖 😱🤖💀

  2. I dreamed of being in this driverless car taking my mother along with me ,and going to coimbatore from Salem, it was a nice experience that it self driven through traffic and others all I had to give is address and route connected to the car system ,what a amazing dream while sleeping but not this company car ,but a random car .

  4. A lidar scanner is the most important thing to detect what can touch the car or break it if the car is not stopped. I should also mention that this business is able to track down individuals who break traffic laws. Additionally, I add that in our country, having a depth sensor to detect potholes or uneven ground beneath the car is more important. I need the car to detect another car that is not breaking the law, drive (including moving the wheel) like this car, and park like this car. I've also heard that Russia has poor quality roads

  5. I think there only a certain number of driverless cars on the road for back up in emergency when too dangerous condition but need pickup some vip or deliver certain critical equipment not every delivery mission because human do the delivery still needed and waymo will be take on war time mission
