A huge reservoir of water has been found on Mars. is so large that it could cover the entire planet with water up to a depth of 1 to 2 kilometers or about a mile. The discover was made after analysing years of data from NASA’s InSight Mars mission. This finding has solved a long-standing mystery about Mars—what happened to all the water?

  1. so mars had oceans ..the planet cooled the seas froze up some evaporation but a lot of water still there.. and then dust storms started covering the world..even a idiot would assume that there would be water there. yet nasa seems shocked to find water ??? if they managed to increase the atmosphere again granted it would start to get blown off but would take a few thousands of years to deplet..so how long do they think mankind will be around at the rate were going and mars would have started to develop life on the basic level and propably still does below the surface..but im sure nasa will be shocked to find it ..honest they killed of life a few years ago cooking it in a experament on a lander..Doh there is a massive astroid belt full of rocks close by containing water all they have to do is divert lots of them into the mars atmosphere to raise the tempreture i would have thought ??? ( though if we find life the religions will be up in arms )

  2. I ocnsider curiousity, curiousity is brilliant.
Let's pray and ask God to blow His spirit of life on PLanet Mars and create a new living planet for humanity. Same as He did to planet earth, Instead of worry, we can ask from God who is the creator of all. We're asking for something unusual and supernatural that only God can do it without causing us to worry.

  3. … Check for radiation levels: it is still believed the first existence was there & Nuke war is why we are on Earth now & adaption. If such exists then God may have altered the atmosphere & the war residue attributing congruently

  4. I am struggling to understand how Mars could ever have liquid water on its surface given how cold it is there.
The average surface temperature on Mars is approximately -63°C (210 K or -81°F), based on data from the Viking lander sites and other observations.

This average is consistent with estimates derived from radiative equilibrium models, which place the average temperature between 219 K and 233 K (-54°C to -40°C).

While the average is very cold, temperatures vary significantly across the planet and over time, ranging from as low as -153°C (120 K; -243°F) at the poles to highs of about 20°C (293 K; 68°F) at the equator during midday.

This wide variation is due to Mars' thin atmosphere, which cannot retain heat, leading to extreme diurnal and seasonal changes.

  5. Nedavno je američka letjelica sletila na Mars, eto sada i kineska… ispitivati će tlo, tražiti vodu. Veliki uspjeh civilizacije!
Zbunjuje me to…

  6. hello…carpenter from Wigan uk……help me out…….1. reason photosynthesis doesnt happen……2. Why spend billions looking for water, knowing, ""if im correct"" atmosphere is far to dense….ish…….3. Why described as ""liquid"" water…..???….ta'x
