40 thoughts on “China’s Electric Car Industry is Insane”
  1. They're more or less good cars but ppl forget how they set up their international business and manufacturing laws. For example, Tesla and Apple have to share specific Intellectual Property and Patents in China if they want to do any kind of business there. Why? If you can't figure it out, it's because they rely on those companies for innovation, research and some engineering.

  2. I'll never get to own an electric car in the USA because of our backwards government run by big oil and other billionairss. Maybe the younger generation will enjoy the advantage of EV's over stone age gas guzzlers.

  3. Bahaha Chinese going all in on EV's will be its downfall. Only the test of time will show weather EV's in general are still regularly serviced and on roads, or piling up in fields as tech waste

  4. I am laughing at your video about the Chinese cars after hearing people from China complaining about their cars and how they are randomly bursting into flames.😂😂😂

  5. Trump is banking on gas vehicles to keep his big money backers happy. The greed and arrogance are why Japanese rules today. I saw it in the 70s when we refused to move away from gas guzzling vehicles.

  6. It's funny how Germany is on chinese ev side trying to convince EU to reconsider coz if EU agrees first brands to die off are going to be overpriced and unreliable German brands 🤣🤣Chinese EV will chew them up and spit them out like nothing.

  7. Labeling these as “electric” is a bit underwhelming. They have actually taken a locomotive type approach in that they actually use a small gasoline engine to run a large generator to charge the battery as well as operating the electric motor during long range driving while allowing just battery power for the first sixty miles. Amazing.

  8. In the interest of a balanced view, could you please do a Megaprojects presentation on the mining of minerals that are used in the production of these vehicles. The mining of cobalt, lithium etc are certainly not environmentally friendly.

  9. make something affordable and nice, it's that simple.
most advanced countries can make something nice, but affordable? that requires another level of industrial supply chain and capabilities.
for those who are too ignorant to understand, you think china product is cheap shit because YOUR importers are making major profit and are paying shit money for shit products that they specifically required these manufacturers to make. The reality is, the same product most likely costs a fraction of the price in china

  10. Western automakers tend towards more expensive vehicles for higher profits per unit. Small no frills vehicles, with only 1 or 2 seats will require selling alot more to get the same profits. Laziness and greed run the western industry.

  11. China is making total garbage that looks exquisite. They steel everyone’s IP then turn other peoples product into theirs and its all crap. 1 in 4 of china's EV's will burst into flames within 4 years of owning it. Don't believe me that's fine but do your due diligence when buying china's EV crap, you will see.

  12. Very interesting and informative. I agree that China has been smart to get an early start and to invest heavily in long-term gains (the pros of socialism) while capitalism continues to divert the US attention always to next quarter's profits. But you missed one important topic – China's EV batteries are literally blowing up and burning like awesome flame throwers all across the country at alarming frequency. Keeping in mind that the Chinese internet is HEAVILY censored, the fact that I've personally seen between 2 and 3 dozen such videos of terrifying, unquenchable fires from E-bikes and EV cars in China quickly copied before they were scrubbed makes me suspect there are hundreds more that haven't been seen. I'm happy to give credit where credit is due, but I'm not willing to have potential bombs all around me – in my neighbor's garage, on my street, in the parking garage of my office building….!

  13. 😂😂😂.. Ford, GM, Chrysler and the word competitive doesn't work together. Let's face it.. As a major automobile manufacturer.. If you were loosing to KIA at any point (In your own country..btw).. Just be real.. You need to Brun all the blueprints and give all of your corporate leaders and head engineers an ultimatium of: "build me cars that people want, or pack your things and never comeback here."

  14. Byd is the next Evergrande withe their massive debt, and their supplier subsided credit system. The China ev market is already saturated. Eu and US are only countries left with the wealth and consumer base. Hence they both need to have 250% tariffs and make sure the Chinese meet their safety specs.

  15. I DON'T CARE where the car is made. If it is affordable and drives well – I'm buying it. What would a "capitalist" do? These are the guys who outsourced all our manufacturing to overseas producers, making the local country weak, but the "capitalists" extremely wealthy.
