Prosus CEO Fabricio Bloisi says the tech investor has $20 billion in cash to invest and plans to focus on opportunities in Europe, India, Latin America and Africa. Speaking on Bloomberg Television at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, he also says the US approach to artificial intelligence is a “great wakeup call” for Europe.

EU JOIN BRICS: In response to Trump's aggression to the EU and NATO nations, we should threaten to join BRICS: I understand this would be a major diplomatic move, signaling its frustration with Trump’s policies. This threat could force the U.S. to reconsider its aggressive stance towards Europe. The threat alone could give the EU bargaining power to push for better trade deals with the U.S.
The euro could strengthen as an alternative reserve currency if the EU signals alignment with BRICS’ de-dollarization efforts.
The U.S. would likely try to prevent this by making concessions, such as:
Easing tariffs and trade barriers.
Offering security guarantees.
Strengthening diplomatic relations with key European nations.
If we did join BRICS it would totally destroy reliance on the dollar. Deepen trade with China and India to reduce U.S. dependency.
Use Russia’s energy leverage strategically while maintaining some Western alliances.
Push for a more independent EU defense policy, reducing reliance on NATO.
