Leaders at the G20 summit in Delhi have issued a joint declaration despite wide differences over the war in Ukraine. Unlike last year’s Bali communique, this year’s document does not mention Russia by name. The African Union also joined the G20 club, and key pledges for battling climate change were made.

  1. I don't understand why should the world suffer for the war between 2 countries. We didn't suffer during the gulf war, during many wars in the middle east, during the korean war, during America's war in Lybia-vietnam-afghanistan so why now the west want us to suffer?

  2. DW's take that all ministerial meeting didn't end with unanimous decision over Ukraine is a joke since the final joint statement

    – that eventually counted did come out .

That reason it seems has been brought out by compulsion rather than logic, to make a subtle point that the summit wasnt successful. Does it sound like an agenda. Would like to believe it is not 🙂

Besides leader of Russia wasnt there in Bali as well, but then Bali summit didnt have a joint declaration unlike New Delhi.

On the price of consensus point be being brought out i.e. not condemning Russia in the declaration.

Did western media ever question themselves in their biased self obsessed analysis – "How did condemning Russia in G20 declaration in Bali help ? " In no ways. It rather than helping anybody, pushed Russia more into China's lap to NATO's dismay.

Western media in its vanity and arrogance hardly sees and learns from the past. Meanwhile, convincing the members over 200 meetings and getting them to a point to understand that G20 is more than Ukraine war and a condemnation

in a declaration isnt practically helping close the war rather hardening stances, is indeed a diplomatic win.

India has demonstrated its capability across 60 cities over hundreds of delegates unlike any other country for G20 till date.

Individually the AU countries maynt be as rich as other G20 but collectively they shouldnt be ignored.

Getting in AU is another just and important thing that was done.

India did came out as a winner as believed and rightfully.

  3. This is not compromise. This is a rebuff of the war dogs of the West – UK, USA and Germany primarily. They have dragged the world into two world wars and now the rest of the world is saying FU to the West. Enough of your war mongering. Enough of inflaming small regional spats into global conflagrations to enrich the West's corrupt arms lobby and politicians.

  4. Ukraine war is now a stalemate the war is only in great zone with either side winning or loosing few sq.mtrs. since past 4 months.the world is no longer interested in such boring war which may last for next 10 years.

  5. G20 was an economic summit not a Geopolitical one this is not WW1 or WW2 during both times India was under colonial rule and subject to any impact on their colonizers was an impact to them Today Bharat/India is free to make her own decisions and we chose Peace and Prosperity over war mongering and choosing sides. Ukraine never wanted peace nor desired for it therefore it is a moot point to argue that India is doing anything for Ukraine, India has sent humanitarian Aid many times and Indian students studying in Ukraine is still an investment for Ukraine in its own educational sector beyond that is in Zelenskys Hands, he is no hero for sure condemning his own people to their fates he made his own choice. Including AU is best way to show that AU is also now free from their colonial masters and can work as equal partners.

  6. Stop dragging ukrain in all your videos and making an agenda out of it. This G20 was about overlooking our differences and peeking to a hopeful bright future. Calm down.

  7. I dont understand why west thinks Russia is the only problem in the world. Grow up DW , there are million other problems in other part of world and g20 declaration also thinks about that

  8. Proof is in the pudding. Media is sold out. James Baker promised no expansion of NATO, at dissolution of WARSAW pact. Duplicitiy of west, its hegemony and double standards are visible in this report DW Inc.

  9. Western media, Left leaning media like DW just cant accept or handle India's rise…. the bias is so continuous and undoubtable I am amazed that most dont talk about this.

  10. "None of them, however, are binding." A fitting summary of centuries of broken "agreements".
The price of "consensus" is abandonment of a geopolitical moral compass and, by extrapolation, a diminution of respect for the import of declarations that carry no genuine weight.

  11. The US has invested well over $50 billion in pissing off Putin.
The involvement of the G-7 in creating the provocations of the conflict are apparent.
The economic benefits to the US as they forced the European Consumers to support their GDP, by purchases that were forcibly inflicted on the European's as the US seemed to chase the Russians out of a Gas market,
Russians had spent 50 years developing .
Those facts are difficult to deny.
The US Generals who claim Russia was unprovoked,
appear to be paid by Wall Street,
    to lie?

  12. The African Union and the European Union are not democratic entities and cannot have power over the people or over countries, only advisory roles. There will be no African and European federal states.

  13. Yes., When someone else has a different point of view than yours on any topic, then you must pull them down saying that they are less worthy of having their own point of view because we don't know how to even think and act like you almighty. And this is coming from you, makes no surprises when we look at the history. Sorry god almighty, we are just simple human beings with our smaller way of thinking and understandings. Forgive us for our sins. Long live ALMIGHTY 😊

  14. The previous communique still stands and the latest one doesn't contradict any of its condemnation of Russia. If Putin thought it was a good thing, he wouldn't have been absent, would he?
