With the Aug. 1 deadline for U.S. President Donald Trump’s new tariffs inching closer, Canada’s first ministers convened for an emergency meeting. 1. Such a feeling of low expectation for the future in this country….if only we'd elected the Conservatives in April . It was hopeless under Trudeau, how can it be so less under this guy Carney. We get the government we deserve I guess.

  2. If Carney remains in power Canadians will welcome a 51st State solution! Carneys push us to become an EU province will destroy what sovereignty remains for Canada.

  3. 👉 God said Donold trump he thinks hot thinking cold thinking he trying out strongly enough money and Donold trump said silence people Chief strong enough money for food rent people eating food good people healthy work okay God said Canada the best country the world people live Hamilton city God bless you so much than everyone else

  4. The biggest export of the US is the Standard American Diet(SAD) and then health impacts of it. I don't want any of their food products, including dairy.

  5. The Libs can't hold a straight thought. Let's fight a foreign economy by diversifying our economy to foreign countries meanwhile we are told to support Canadian.

  6. Carney forgot to fast everything he promised on campaign…. People voted for him because he supposed to stand up for Canadians but now he is saying tariff are here to stay…what a disappointment.

  7. Look. Canada has to put export controls on oil, potash and critical minerals to the U.S. Simple as that. Despite what Trump says, the U.S. actually does depend on a lot of things Canada exports.

  8. They keep talking, but they do little walking. What ever happened to Team Canada? What happened to the only person who could deal with Trump? What kind of deals has the only person who could deal with Trump, made? And if he has made any deals with Trump, has he lied about those deals, like before? The answers are similar to his fraudulent green policies, net zero!

  9. Pierre Polly can take some lessons from Ford. When the national is facing a common foe like Trump, it is not the time for partisan politics. Pierre lost his riding for causing such turmoil when he supported civil disobedience during the “Trucker Convoy”. It had nothing to do with rights. This event was a support of the infiltration of MAGA in Canada

  10. Trump isn't the one taxing Canadians on wages groceries and dry goods. Cartel carney is the demon liberal trafficking fentanyl money laundering and allowing foreign government interference in Canada. We are losing freedom to drive what we need and want to. Saskatchewan and Alberta need to separate immediately and form one of the richest countries in the world. FMC communist dictatorship

  11. Majority of Canadians do not want to deal with Trump and his one-sides deal. These tariffs are mafia strong arm tactics, let alone the fact that he is a convicted felon. Stay strong with elbows up!

  12. The Canadian Gov will blame trump but will do nothing about immigration fentanyl and crime.
No jobs no new projects and if some how they do decide to build a pipeline dam or nuclear power station the natives will shut it down then vote liberal and collect their “ my Grandma says she was touched by a priest money”
Well hard working young family can’t afford groceries. And somehow that’s trumps fault?
    What a country

  13. They should be tackling the health care crisis in canada, leave the trade talks to the pm and his negotiators (who are handle it anyhow, the provinces have no say in it). This is a sham meeting and a waste of time.

  14. In this tarifs attacks' crisis, it's not just about saving our Canadian economy. It's also overall about our territorial integrity, the preservation of our Democracy with our rights and freedoms, the pride and the dignity of Canadian people to live in a créé country and be part of a Strong and Sovereign Canadian Nation. It's no Price and no compromise.v

  15. Poilievre with his MAGA'S behaviour is the only person who declares that "Canada is broken" during his campaign. That's what Trump wants. Sensitive Canadians believe on the high level of competence, on the experiences and the leadership of our PM Mark Carney to negociate in a basis of less damaged effects on our economy. PM Mark Carney will also help us building up our economy stronger and independant from the USA using our ressources and workers and create a collective prosperity for Canadians from all provinces and territoires. Diversification of our customers and suppliers' sources is a long terme horizon objective for more reliability and stability on our trade relationships.
We are very confident and hopeful about the doigté and the leadership of PM Mark Carney and his determination to get things done.
