10k tonnes is the right size. You making a weapon why don't you make the most capable one. So 6k tonnes is good but little less. 10k tonnes means you have the right size hardware and you can improve its core technology and systems in a phase manner.

The ATGM tender seems tailor made for drdo

India is far far behind than china in every respect whether the navy, or Air force, AI, space force, semiconductor, specialised steel for ship, submarine, high speed rail, landing gear box of transport aircraft etc.

Why mrfa is so late

we want a private firm to take up MRFA… lets not give all project to HAL…as they are already over loaded..

Mrfa is dead project instead of concentrating on mrfa we must buy 3 or 4 squardons of rafale or atleast buy kf21 and 6 to 8 squardons of tejas mk2 depending upon trails and concentrate more on amca fighter jets 300 to 350 and start a development of sixth generation fighter jet for the replacement of 4th generation fighter jet after 2055 or 2060.

Biggest achievement of this government in defense is development of border infrastructure which was neglected in last 70 years. Now we have the option to move the equipment to border faster to counter any chinese misadventure. In 1962, it took 1 week for our forces to reach Arunachal border when China can move their divisions within few hours to border

Give it to hal as it can take the technologies to put it in indigenously made mk1a or mk2 tedbf or amca in a faster way. Second they have experience. Third private sector in india has no experience in making fighter aircrafts. Let mrfa winner come and make aircraft in hal itself. Less expenditure on infrastructure. Hal will get immense exposure to foreign parts which can be used in making in hal. Further kaveri engines are made in there so it will be easy to test it on foreign aircraft and eventually making it more indigenous. Infrastructure in hal is already there. If needed more Government can make it faster as land is already there. No need to search for new land. Runway is there. Testing fighter pilot team is there. More than half of the requirements to make an aircraft is already there. So better be given to hal.
