On the latest episode of Patriot Act, Hasan analyzes the current state of politics in India and what it means to him as an Indian-American, with a focus on the country’s upcoming elections. With around 900 million voters, India has the largest and one of the most complex democracies in the world. Hasan discusses how recent conflicts with Pakistan, widespread economic issues under current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a resurgence of Hindu nationalism, and corruption scandals amongst major political parties in the country will play a role in determining the future, and the identity, of India.

  1. The whole show was amazing but calling out only "hindu nationalism" and hiding the whole story about the 2002 and a lot more that made me a bit disappointed I thought you were on the center but at last your name does its job

  2. I would like to say your view is completely polarized. I dont like Modi but sometimes we need strong personalities than a person asking other countries to involve in Indian Internal things. Every country even Japan, Australia, Canada accuse influence of other countries but Rahul always want US involvement. We all know what hpnd in every place where US was involved. I would say its easy to criticize than working on ground. About the names Indian Govt changed the British names as well but you say only Muslim names are being changed.
Bombay to Mumbai, Trichy to Tiruchurapalli, Banglore to Bengaluru. You are talking about Minorities facing issues then y is the minority population getting increased? Full Hypocrisy I would say

  3. Well, Hasan is an Arabic name and most Muslims in India were either tortured and converted or lured to to convert with breaks in taxes called Jazia. Now Indian Muslims act like prophet Mohammed was their dad. Joke about that son.
As to you being a Pakistani spy: nah… you’re not a gas station owner in America. You actually went to college coz you’re born to proud Indians who could buy wheat 🇮🇳
    Modi won
    Trunp won
You need to study people’s pulse

  4. Minhaj, this is why guys like you ( who seem to progressive) but that soft Jihadi mindset will always persist… I understand your closelyness to Indian Muslim association…. Specifically ( Farid Zakaria)…. You may fool these people…. But it ends there…Go keep on sharing shit.💩

  5. Averg bhikaristan mentality defame india with thie propeganda 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔u showed cm tome modi footsge say same trump speech hypocrite in un ur country alwas slap by indian fm with facts that why bhikaristan is know begging shame on u hasssan and all who support it defame ondian diaspora name of joke🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫👇👇👇👇👇👇👇🤏🤏

  6. Hassan u father think terorist someone say no but ur koke on hindu religion show ir mentality of radicals 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔be in ur limits never ever desrespact Hindu religion

  7. I don't know why the YouTube algorithm recommended this video. I watched it out of curiosity and since then, one more election has passed. In both 2019 and 2024 elections, Modi won. So clearly the Indian voters see something the comedian missed. Oh, and by the way, comedians should stick to comedy and not present unverified, one sided views and opinions as a standup show. That's just hiding behind a facade to make a political stand, which is not entertainment.

  8. For his kind information….when british left india in 1947, Mahatma Gandhi wanted one united big India but. JINNAH opposed saying that we want pakistan for muslims. Let Hindus live in India.
So muslims in India today have no right to complain.

  9. Such immigrants, even the 2nd gen., want to bring their political confusion of back home, here in in USA, as if we don't have enough.! I would stay away. He never talks about Pakistan election if they have one.

  10. Watching this after five years again and India is as Democratic as ever, reported the best GDP numbers among the big economies and Modi led BJP is coming for third term again with increase in seat share. Turns out there was nothing at stake. And the dude in the end that said this is saying those things again like a broken record. So safe to say this whole episode hasn’t aged very well and he is out of business as well.
