Nikhil sir we cannot give clean chit to the captain and the management. What was the need to play Bumrah all tests against Bangladesh and 2 tests against NZ.
Second, he had to come back again and again to bowl for multiple spells because Rohit was not able to get results from other bowlers, or simply didn't have any plans with them.
I know we would love to be sympathetic because of Rohit's service to cricket but he has been awful from his interview, the PR, and how we dealt with Bumrah. The domino effect of this injury may also deny Bumrah the chance to lead India in tests.

Rohit Sharma should have played in the SCG test. You are the captain and should be leading from the front. These are situations in life where it's make or break. He in my opinion chickened out. Even with him India may have lost but would have shown his character. At times it's not about just winning, it's about character.
And out comes the same old excuses, the same old 'what ifs' and 'could haves', the same gaslighting. This could be a replay of a video made after the WTC final, or after the CWC, or after the NZ series, etc etc.

Sadly, no one in India media can criticize Kohli openly. Even after low scores, look at his body language. Clearly, he doesn't look under any pressure while fielding, he is confident that no one can take him out of the team, media should question his on field behaviour and the way he conducted in the entire series.
And why was he standing in as captain? Why is no one questioning this decision? It's a clear indication that Virat will lead the team again in the test to save his career.

India's brain trust needs to make some tough calls, starting with 4 players. Sharma, Kohli, Jadeja, and Gill.
Washington Sundar, l'm not sure why he was played in Sydney, but l would perserve with going forward.
Gill is young and talented but way too inconsistent, and he batted so poorly this tour that he shouldn't be a first choice selection against England.
Unfortunately, l think Sharma and Kohli, watching them bat here, the game looks to have gone past them at test level.
Jadeja had one reasonable inning but a poor tour overall.

The problem you have is the BCCI and G G. Rohit should have been told to sit the series out. Reddy, Sundar and Jadeja picked as all rounders to shield your front batsmen. 4 seamers were required which would have reduced Bumrah’s work load, Gill is a flop, feast or famine with K L.
