US President-Elect Donald Trump said on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to meet him and that a meeting between the two leaders was being set up. However, the Kremlin has not confirmed nor denied Trump’s statements. Trump has nominated Keith Kellogg as the next US special envoy to Ukraine. Kellogg has been tasked with negotiating a peace deal between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Meanwhile, Zelensky has said that Ukraine’s security relies heavily on NATO and the United States. Zelensky also noted that only Donald Trump can negotiate with Putin and end Russia’s war on Ukraine. Will the Trump-Putin talks end the war in Ukraine?.
