The first half of December included a lot of really interesting launches from China, a landmark 24th booster flight for SpaceX, the 1000th launch of an R-7 rocket, Europe’s Vega C returning to flight and India launching a European payload.
And all of those were less important than the news that the incoming named a NASA administrator.
And that somehow got lost in mainstream news because of ‘drones’ (not actually drones).

There must be nothing more low IQ, than trusting Elon musk on specifications.
Don’t care about communist china!
Anyone noticed that the american government is slowing transforming itself from a being a millionaire's money laundering club into a billionaire's money laundering club?

Dude, 8 ads in 25 minutes. Unsubded.
25:16 A quick Google search told me that Santa Clause travels at about 4 700 000 km/h and the Parker solar probe travels at a measily 700 000 km/h
SM should keep away from politics. He often makes exceedingly naive political comments which do not stand up to even a cursory fact check. Of course, space science, because of the vast sums of money involved, are heavily reliant on political will, so we should not be surprised SM wants to talk about it. I just wish he would spend as much time checking his political sources as much as his scientific one's. That is a good lesson for everyone regardless of their political views.
artemis delays are embarrassing.
Legend has it every July 4, some people in LA get hit with bullets from people shooting guns into the air. Don't shoot at "drones" or UFOs.
The Economist calls SLS the "Rocket to Nowhere". 🙂
question, is there a regulation that prevents an magnetometer to monitor earth or is there a regulation preventing that?
Lots of ads this time..

I'm surprised a commercial battery can do 7600 G's

Scott, try saying MERRY Christmas. Repeat after me,"Merry Christmas." Welcome to the U.S. (I know, we are snobs)
Gov Hogan thinks he's Dave Bowman (2001 A Space Odyssey) and says "My God, it's full of Stars". Sometimes people need to look up instead of always looking at their phones.
I wonder if there are actually any rules or laws that explicitly state that a NASA administrator is not allowed to assign himself and then fly space missions. I somehow doubt there are. It would be hillarious if the new guy basically says "I am going to personally save hubble, AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!"
Artemis…future space museum attraction…taxpayers boondoggle category.
The PSLV-XL really leaps off the pad with that solid main stage engine.
I wish they would do human rating on the 2.1b's staged combustion upper stage engine…
All of my model airplanes I built as a kid were shot down in battle over the creek down the street from my home. There were no survivors.
Enjoyed the long pause between 'payload' and 'specialist' when describing Bill Nelsons spaceflight participation
Goddamn my RKLB stock has done well this year
24:34 Seems like several of the ACARS messages about lasers shown in the screenshot were referencing the same green laser illuminated 8 miles Northwest of whatever airport this guy was flying in/out of.
2:10 Depending on how one groups R-7 derivates, I've seen wikipedia counts above 1900 launches. Curious what the actual number is 🤔
