A Trump appointed judge just overturned it. Thanks MAGA!
The judge got rid of it due to being sued
I am sorry but I bet the judge that sided with the plantiffs got a kick back. Its wrong to keep medical debt on a credit check. Because we all know how they inflate medical debt and that should have NOTHING to do with anything.
Hell a lot of people can't get rental apartments or rental homes becacuse of it. My husband owes 1,000 bucks for an ambulance ride he cant and wont pay because he had a heart attack but was stable.
The hospital refused to let me take him to the other hospital 45 minutes away from the hospital I took him to. And couldn't sign out AMA because they would have paid nothing for the visit.
It's ridclious and cruel
I have medical collection
Me: copay? No. Not going to happen. I left here and suffered unnecessarily youre not getting a dime. We all got choices to make you made yours 😊
MAGA stopped this from happening btw
0:35 the fact it was hitting my credit was the only reason I was paying it in the first place lmao. I pay all my bills but when I racked up 10k in hospital bills from them not listening to me and having to go back multiple times, I gave up trying to pay those off. Feels awesome to stick it to the man 😮💨
I've got WPW and a pacemaker. My insurance doesnt cover much of anything and I'm in so much debt it's not funny. I would like to have a family but all my money goes to debt and bills. Sucks!
Medical Debt removal from credit scores. But, I understand the debt is still owed by consumers. Let me mention Medical Debt Resolutions, Financial Medical Advocates services. Using many years experience in the healthcare billing area. By investigating patients bills/debt findings are severely overcharged by the healthcare system’s mistakes. We have never set up a payment plan or negotiated charges from any patient. We service patients are reduce their medical cost severely. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c5ZyfUXNkHWq5yyUeJdNBS9NYRbx2ue0/view?usp=drivesdk
Maybe this is just appeasing the public after the luigi mangione case
What if you have Lyme disease and the medical system doesn’t recognize your illness in the biggest medical coverup Rico case of all time and your debt is personnel debt
I think this is overall good. Please take out mortgages and car loans responsibly.
The only cons I can think of is that this may disincentivize the building of new medical facilities and people trying to become doctors. It may also weaken the credibility of the dollar.
When does it take effect… Like when will it fall off my credit score.
I had a procedure done and they billed me 2k for having it at the location closer to me. It would not have cost me the 2k had I completed it at the other location but did not tell me. The office told me it was covered 100% by my insurance the billed me 2k for having at the location. Then proceeded to tell me they are affiliated with the Olathe location but they were privately owned I ended up suing them and won only because they left a voicemail as my only proof that they lied.

20 pOiNtS 🙃…….. Woopty doo
Our resident immigrant says no way😂
This is where you voters need to oay attention. Watch your Congressmen and woman. Call them now, shut down their servers and phone lines, do not let them host a town halk unless they answer weather or not they support this. And if they dont support it, vote your heart. Ask them if they support america, or the big insurance companies. Republicans or democracy.
We pay health insurance premium monthly on time
We should receive any medical bills our insurance should pay all
What the point of having insurance if we still getting hospital bills
This is so unfair
We pay for insurance, so we should not receive medical bills for doctor visits or hospital stays. The insurance company should be paying my bills, not me.
Here is an idea, create a national healthcare system like the rest of the world has, and cut back on your military spending.
The rest of us have never had medical debt, nor needed insurance, and our taxes are not any higher than yours, and before some one who has listened to the propaganda says something, no the quality of health care is not higher in the US, that is just something your leaders say because big pharma owns their opinions.
Looking after their people is the first priority for every first world country, except the USA which values capitalism over society.
Love it. I'm going to stop paying my medical bills and tell the collectors to eat rocks. Love it.
I hope people don't fall for this BS. If you can't pay your medical debt how can you pay a car note or mortgage? More smoke and mirrors😂
Something that I had a large say in and influence, because the medical profession should not be a business harming other people from progressing and improving their life.
So now people can take out more loans they can't pay back and go further into debt. Great idea
Great idea🫡
It’ll get overturned just like the CFPB ruling on late fees charged by credit card companies
This wouldn't be an issue if we had a national healthcare system covered by our taxes.
Who cares ..the debt is still there
new rule to stop screwing everyone over on bills they should have covered decades ago, pfft like I give a damn about credit anymore, I'm 48 and live in a basement, next stop the graveyard
It’s somewhat justified because hospitals do criminal over charging
Medical debt? Um, wasn't Obama's and the Democrats's "Affordable Healthcare Act" of 2009 supposed to have solved that problem?
20 points! 😲 Lol but you're still in debt and it's only for 15 million, in a country of almost 400 million. These people are so disconnected from the rest of us.
Sounds good. It seems this would help people with chronic medical issues, and people involved in bad accidents etc.
