  1. Newcastle cannot afford to play too aggressively, as the defence is not very good, and most of the wins are achieved through counterattacks.

  2. Something that really frustrates me is the free kick Newcastle was awarded with just a few minutes left in the game. Exactly like Chelsea on Tuesday against Bournemouth – a free kick in a very favorable position. From the same distance where Trippier scored against Man City. Trippier, who has the experience with these kinds of free kicks. And what does Newcastle do? They let Isak – who, as far as I know, has never scored from a direct free kick for Newcastle – take an utterly sloppy shot that goes straight into the wall. That’s simply not good enough when you're trailing 1-2 and, against the run of play and chances, suddenly get a golden opportunity to salvage a draw.

Palmer was generous enough to let James take the free kick on Tuesday. Isak, on the other hand, wasn’t toward Trippier. Apparently, the personal pursuit of a Premier League scoring record mattered more than letting the team’s best free-kick taker take the shot?

  3. We have been fantastic lately so this was coming, cant win every game. Finally my Stake streak on Isak scoring a goal has come to an end, I believe he scored in like 9 in a row before this. Bournemouth has impressed me this season, lets bounce back next game

  4. Don't worry Newcastle fans that was just a once off . Bournemouth were excellent. Best opponents of the season , in st james park and away

  5. Shocking tactics and performance by Toon yesterday
I hope they sit and watch that game over and over to learn from the very basic mistakes but all credit to Bournemouth whom had done the homework got the tactics right with aggression and speed whilst the Toon played golf instead of training 2:28
