This India Today ground report focuses on the arrest of two Catholic nuns in Chhattisgarh, who are now in jail over allegations of human trafficking and religious conversion. The arrests followed a complaint by Bajrang Dal workers at Durg Railway station. The church has denied the charges, with one representative stating, “I condemn the whole case, because it is a fabricated, planned affair by the police as well as the Bajrang Dal people.” The incident has ignited a major political controversy. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to the Prime Minister seeking intervention, while Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi has termed it persecution. Conversely, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has supported the police action. The report examines the rising communal tensions and questions if the action is justice or a witch hunt. #chhattisgarh #nunsarrested #religiousconversion #itwebvideos #humantrafficking #bajrangdal #communaltension #politics #kerala #vishnudeosai #rahulgandhi #pinarayivijayan #religiousfreedom #justiceorwitchhunt #gharwapsi

  1. Those who are saying I have studied from convent school but these things never happened, all of them have studied from good city convent schools , even I have studied there but yes there were christian prayers we used to sing " holy Father in heaven , holy be your name your kingdom comes ur will be done something like that …." That is pretty normal for us , but in less developed area these things happen, you have to believe it you can't just simply say that it doesn't happen in cities so it is not possible in such areas too

  2. Uneducated idiot jyoti Sharma, can someone give her some insight. Bible pdne se koi convert nhi hota, ppl read so many religious books out of curiosity, r tey heading to convert. Stupid!!! Have some sense before u open ur mouth

  3. I went to a convent school within chhattisgarh too, those aren't from here shouldn't speak on behalf of our people. The school and it's faculty though didn't try to convert us there was always this subtle favourism towards christian student that we didn't get. I get it, that was a christian minority institution but you still shouldn't do that when 97 percent of your school has hindu children. They didn't let us wear sacred threads or kada even, which did hurt and then you'd have to write applications and all. Post covid I went to a different school but then I got to know that they failed hindu and Muslim students and some number of christian students failed the class too but they were given TC from the institution with a passed certificate. Life moved on and the other kids had to reappear for the same exams next year from the same school.

  4. Here the case is not about conversion. Those three people were going to get jobs.

Well I want to ask bajrang dal one question, if you think this conversation is all because they are getting jobs, money, food. Then why don't you give 10 times more money to them for their ghar wapsi. The truth is..after someone converts to Christianity, he will never reverse it because it is all about transformation of the heart, and love for Jesus Christ, it was never money. Can you unlove someone you you truly love? The truth is they all know this, and they are insecure that number of hindus is going to lessen because of conversion. They don't realize, we are humans first, then hindu or muslims, or christians. Togetherness is strength.

  5. Catholics will never forcefully convert others in modern days ….. My entire family studied in missionary school run by Catholics in Malaysia…. They will never do this

  6. No one is born with religious tag. Either parents of a baby is compel to be make their child a Hindu, Muslims, Buddhist or Christian etc. Everyone in some stage realised something or convicted from their hearts to accept who they want to worship. There’s religious freedom. No one can force. I accepted Christ at the age of 20 + no one not even my parents can convinced me to follow any religion. It is my own choice., I learnt from the Bible that one may identify as Christian in document but if you don’t believe in the trinity , you are not a Christian. Christianity simply means believing in Christ sufficient grace., either we will go to heaven or hell based on our choice. Anyone can teach their religious text to anyone. If one is willing and open. So force conversion is just a theory created by people who are intolerant of other religion. Their hearts are full of hatred and bitterness and they want to throw their frustration on somebody. If your religion teach you to hate and kill someone for following their call. It’s high time to check who you are following. True God will never tell you to kill for any reason. Jesus from the Bible teaches about unlimited forgiveness. In case in future if my child accepts another religion other than mine, I would still love my child and not accused someone just because i want what I want from my child. I would want my child to have his or her choice. Accusing someone makes no sense. That’s just selfishness and wicked. May the Peace prevail✌️

  7. With the blessings of God justice will get for you Sisters, many people are don't know what Missionary do for poor people.. love and support from NORTH EAST MEGHALAYA, INDIA

  8. Indian politicians pounce on every issue like immature kids. It’s disgraceful. Most of them have no civic sense and no common sense. There should be a minimum educational qualification to become even a small leader.

A small misunderstanding has been blown out of proportion and turned into national news — and, as usual, all the politicians jumped on it.
