    Realism vs. Liberalism – Global Politics Theories Compared


    Realism and Liberalism are the two dominant theories that seek to explain global politics and international relations today. Realism argues that states are locked in a constant struggle for power to ensure security. Liberalism, on the other hand, looks at the interdependence of the global system, and promotes cooperation over competition.
