In South Sudan’s capital city of Juba, people are slowly healing from political conflicts and civil unrest. Citizens have now turned to weekly comedy shows to forget the scars and sufferings that the wars have brought to their lives. However, the landscape of comedy in Juba was not as popular ten years ago as it is today. Thousands of people flock to venues to enjoy an evening of laughter but years ago when comedians started doing these shows they were hit with bottles.
