Southeast Asia has managed to outperform key economies this year, brushing aside the threat of heightened trade and geopolitical tensions. In the first quarter, most economies in the region have continued to expand, driven by solid domestic demand. But that does not seem to have translated into bumper profits for the region’s largest 500 corporations. CNA’s Olivia Marzuki finds out why.
