I think the 49ers are gonna be bad for a while. Something tells me losing Super bowl 58 the way they did is slowly killing their spirit.

As a 9ers fan, all imma day is this. We are not down and out. We had a down year. It was a terrible year for our standards. But dont count us out because we had a terrible season. Do people not remember the 2020 year? When the 49ers finished with a 6-10 record after losing in the super bowl. The next year, we were back in the NFC Championship. This is a retool year for the niners.
It is, in fact, just beginning!

The 9ers need to revamp their O line. The team needs SPEED to take the top off the defense. The team needs to diversify the running backs. The team needs a DC. And, finally I’d let Kyle go. He’s not learning to coach better regardless of who he’s coaching. Purdy is a special player who proved he can go all the way. He needs to learn how to attack’man’ defense, with competent receivers. Kyle blew the last SB, along with the O-line and D imploding. Joe Montana had Walsh. Brock needs a better HC. Lynch has blown his last several first rounders. He shouldn’t get too comfortable, either.

The inevitable downfall of the 49ers started with them giving up three first round draft picks for an unproven quarterback from a small school. This robbed the 49ers of the ability to keep their team loaded with quality depth. Now they are going to have to trade away all their second tier contract talent for 2025 draft picks so they can start over. By doing that they should be able to come away with four first round picks, five second round picks, three third round picks and five forth round picks. It will take the team at least a year to gel and then with the additions from the 2026 draft, the 49ers on paper should have the makings of a serious Super Bowl contender. That is when they use their hefty salary cap space to acquire a couple of impact players to help put them over the top. If they do this, they should be able to make two back to back runs for the Super Bowl starting in two years, before having to do it all over again. After a player's forth year of a five year contract is when most will have to be traded away again, insuring an infusion of new talented blood on the team, along with always having lots of cap space for impact players when the team is ready. If the 49ers followed this formula, they would set themselves up to visit the Super Bowl at least four times in a ten year period.

Some of these “tragedies” the 49ers had are just insane to me. Ward had a child with Downs syndrome and defective heart, all of which is easily detectable early on in a pregnancy, you just get an abortion and try again. That’s called modern medicine. Same with trent Williams, you get an ultrasound and a blood test and it tells you that the fetus is severely deformed. You get a quick procedure called a DNC and the woman is ready to try again in 30 days. This is 2024 medicine. Miscarriages are extremely common. Talk to any woman and she’s had at least one miscarriage. Miscarriages are normal part of the process. To miss several games because you’re deformed never gonna make it to 2 years old baby is insane. It’s criminal to me that a person would complete a pregnancy knowing the pain and suffering that child would endure with all the surgeries and procedures. It’s pure ignorance to what options exist.
Ummmmm…..it’s just a “coincidence” that the 49ers are the only team to play 4 teams directly after their bye week this season. So the Bills, Chiefs, Seahawks and Cowboys got to play the 49ers with two weeks of prep and rest.

Texans fan here struggling through Bobby Slowik. There are some exceptions, notably in the nfc north, but imo the shanahan offense has been figured out. It’s done; it’ll get you to 9-8, but I feel the coaches still using it successfully have found ways to further innovate. People like Slowik that will just run the existing system to death and not adjust are being exposed weekly

Say in 2021 they didn't trade up to #3 for Mr. Lance. Could have drafted Micah Parsons or Rashawn Slater. Then in 2022 draft either George Karlaftis, Boye Mafe. Or in 23, Joey Porter would've been there. Would have won them the Superbowl with a combination of these players.
Brady wanted to play there they didn't want him. Bad decision.
They are basically a pro bowl team, which is why they are so disappointing. They have 7 or 8 players you can make a legit argument that they are the best at their position.
