When we decide we need to take military action, how do we make sure we do it right? Whether it’s fighting against ISIS in the Middle East, driving the Iraqis out of Kuwait, or confronting the Axis Powers in World War II, every military campaign should start with a very clear idea of how we want the situation to end – what we call a “clearly defined political end state.”

  1. Very great video, but I am going to lay on some constructive critiques. First, to try to prevent future comments from confusing the distinction between War of Aggression and Defensive War: there is never a need fiscally, constitutionally or morally for a military Offensive, but this video's guidance applies fully and seamlessly to military Defensives. Second, you forgot to put advise in this video that Austin Petersen, the former presidential candidate who I wish was our current president-elect, summarized masterfully in one of his General Election debate live streams: "You have to have a secret plan! No general reveals one's plan before doing battle, Hillary, its just Common Sense." Which leads to my final criticism: The free society planning the military Defensive must keep its plan secret between itself and its closest allies, and must never give the Initial Aggressor advance notice of How its going to conduct its Defensive, or even When. But other than these three critiques I have for this video, this is very worthy of me putting on my Favorites list!
