From concept “crab driving” to autonomous vehicles – the latest technology in the car industry was on show at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

With concerns about safety and different laws from governments – how much of the technology will actually make it on the road?

  1. Driverless cars where they are work together, cars be like trams where they stay in their lane and communicate with other cars. When this all happens i think cars controlled by drivers will be illegal

  2. It may still take some more time, but once completely self driving cars are the norm, it’s going to really change the world. Every person will have their own chauffeur, and cars will be a place to just relax, watch TV, eat, etc. while you get to your destination. People might take it out just for fun, sit and read a book while your car takes you around the city. And you could easily take 500 mile+ trips, just get in at night go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning you’ll be there. And maybe everyone will want a big van, so they have a full size bedroom to be chauffeured around in

  3. "driverless" ? It is by definition careless driving.
Someone should always be the designated driver
who is legally responsible for the vehicle
and always ready to take control of the vehicle.

  4. Shove your tv license up your ass BBC 'misrepresented' Covid risk to boost lockdown support, inquiry told. The BBC was allowed to “misrepresent” the risk posed by Covid to most people to boost public support for lockdown, the UK Covid Inquiry has heard.

  5. One pedestrian getting hit by a self driven car, and it's going to be all curtains for this concept and technology.

Because, from a legal and prosecution point of view, the authorities will want to press charges on the person behind the wheel. But the problem is, it's auto driven by a….. robot.

So, who to the victims and authorities blame and prosecute for causing the accident?? If there is no actual person behind the wheel??
So, I think this concept is going to take alot of convincing, approval and vote of confidence from the law before it becomes the norm or rolled out on a global scale.

Also, currently thieves are stealing vehicle owners with them being inside of their cars. So, a unattended vehicle, controlled by a robot, it's going to be like Christmas for car thieves.
They may have a hard time with getting it started -the self driven car.
But, they'll look to other ways of getting their money's worth. By taking apart car parts and selling them off.

It's not going to be easy to make this work, because there certainly are many issues that will need to be solved.

    😬😬🤔🤔🤔
    🤷🤷🤷

  6. America First and America Only policies, why not? Individual nation must seek his or her own national security and then diplomatic alliance comes. May divine peace prevails eternally!

  7. Self driving cars = your data of where you’re going, where you’ve been, how long it’s taken etc is all stored and sold to the government to once again be processed and controlled. Welcome to the future ladies and gentlemen. Where your “convenience “ is owning nothing and being happy

  8. In a future dominated by self-driving cars, it seems impractical to permit human drivers given their demonstrated slower reaction times and calculation abilities compared to AI. Legislation, designed to ensure safety, could logically restrict human driving except for specific contexts like racing, tracks, and vintage driving sports.

The sonification of converting data to sound is not a new concept, but very interesting how they made music from it in this instance.

  9. Could a car still swerve if a person steps in front of it.. and in a split second the vehicle it may hit for example is also given evasive action via A.I. .. so they react in concert?? Or the vehicle that will be hit deploys it’s air bags and some other kind of protection? Or the vehicle have some way of negating impact on other obstacles?? Maybe something like a bumper car protection enabled or a protective shell/bubble around the car?Otherwise the person/ child stepping in front of car one will just be effectively ….??

  10. A friend of mine, when he started his apprenticeship, was sent to the store for "2 long weights (waits as it happened)".
Without watching the video, I think we will have plenty of very long waits.

  11. 60 years of parliamentary failure by all parties has left the country a shadow of its former glory
All state owned property has been given away with no regard for citizens ?
The law has been changed so the richest & government are above the laws ?
Police are not for the people, just a security service for rich and powerful ?
The nhs was once was the best in the world, but now is failing on every level ?

Private courts & police to fit up & convict the general public ?
Border force, once protected the country, now only checks legal British immigration, but fails to protect public by picking up illegals and bringing them in to country?
Allowing millions of illegal immigrants into country each year with a housing shortage?
Only people guaranteed a dentist are illegals migrants?
Population doubled but no new power stations, water storage reservoirs, power distribution network, hospitals, doctors & schools?
Just thousands more civil servants sitting at home having zoom meetings ?
Wasting billions on Net zero ?

Free speech outlawed, even thinking is now a arrest able offence ?
