Ford invested $1 billion in self-driving startup Argo AI in 2017, and Volkswagen joined with a $2.6 billion investment 2 years later. It was an attempt to match rivals such as Uber, Tesla and Google. At its height, Argo AI was reportedly valued at $12.4 billion. But in 2022 Argo AI shut down. Ford said the it didn’t attract new investors, and that profitability was “a long way off”. Both automakers are spending big in electrification – $50 billion in Ford’s case and more than three times that in VW’s case. VW still pursued autonomous driving projects for commercial uses, and Ford focused on more modest L2 and L3 driver assistance technology.

Anti Trump musk loser s
12:20 This didn't age very well.
BS
Stupid
No thank you I rather drive myself or im walkin where I need to be
The GUY that said TESLA is a joke!… means that this Video holds no significance… I think he was paid to say that 🙂
Great report! I subscribed. Hope to see more like this.

Baidu, one of the leaders in Autonomous driving want to sign up to get the use of the Tesla(the joke) FSD version. This video does not age too well 😊
They can't even build a straight-up car anymore. My new '24 Prius is 99.9% self driving on the expressway, less so on city streets so it depends on your specific needs case. The Prius replaced my 2012 Fiesta with the bum transmission. They're toast, or should be.
Why would you want to rely on the vehicle in front of you for your own vehicle speed? How passive and stupid is that. I see it all the time when these cars slow down, THEN the driver changes lanes and passes instead of paying the fvck attention and changing lanes before having to slow down. I hate people.
Why tf is a furniture selling athletic director high up at Ford? That's some chrony bullsh!t.
This valuation sh!t needs to calm its fvcking t!ts. Enough is enough with these criminally inflated values.
How is this technology a failure when most people don't want this technology nor support it or like myself completely against it.
The amount of money lost investing in hype is always staggering. It doesn't matter what is being hyped as the next big thing.
Customer demand?! Who is demanding all these crap EVS? Can we please talk with them and ask them to stop?
The joker jurno who is saying Tesla FSD is a joke should try FSD 12.3. All idiots appear on CNBC.
Tesla struck gold.
The Tesla slander just go to show how these Dinosaurs are afraid of Elon, lmao.
Let's remember that before Tesla, pre-2012, they were ALL stalling electric cars and let's not even talk about self-driving car.
Then they all rushed to LiDAR despite the obvious dead-end it is…while TSLA use cheap cams (Space X, Tesla sister company, has deep expertise in LiDAR, so they're knowingly rejecting the tech)
Then they claimed simulation data were enough while T has fleet real-world data for BILLIONS of kilometers.
But yeah, sure, Tesla is "last in self-driving". Meanwhile you can check RIGHT NOW, the Tesla drivers that are testing Beta-FSD and it's completely working.
The more they slander, the more reassurance it actually gives me, lmao

Self-driving isn't possible when it rains.
I enjoy freedom, in control going where I want to go, how I want go. Driving is a form of freedom and pleasure for people. Having a robot basically drive you is not the same thing. It is a waste of time and money. They need to work on building safer cars that can absorb impact. Driverless cars are foolish, IMO. Have teacherless schools with automated robots and computers, etc. Like eliminating restaurants and having cafeterias where you grab your own food and sit at a table. This is a stupid way to invest so much money. Driving, truthfully, means freedom and pleasure for people a lot of the times. You will see if that is taken away from you. Driverless cars are, indeed, a waste of time and money, IMO. Taking us backward. Just work on making safer cars, do not take away the ability for people to drive.
