Studies have shown Americans use an average of 46 mobile apps each month to complete a variety of everyday tasks. Now imagine if you could combine all of those programs into a single, standalone app. A one-stop shop to socialize with friends, order food, pay rent, or even consult with a doctor – colloquially known as the ‘super app’.

While super apps have flourished in Asia, their adoption in Western markets, including the U.S., has been slower due to a variety of reasons. But things may be starting to change, as more and more tech companies have set their sights on bringing the super app model to the U.S.

  2. Are you kidding me? I never used Facebook to login anywhere. I’m not linking any of my apps. I don’t need Facebook to know what I’m looking for. I’m even accessing Facebook only from my browser. I’m using three different search engine on different devices. Google is the next culprit. Fockin’ uber wants to be there for you 😂😂😂😂 cracks me up.

  3. So basically, what Google, Uber, Meta or even Amazon need to do is to add all their stuff into one easy to handle, organized and well structured app that is easy to understand and navigate.

  4. The reason that China can have a superapp is that there cannot be a monopoly in China. Its government has the final say whether not your app succeeds or else. Wechat is very consumer friendly and wechat basically earn little to no money from it other than the occasional ads. If there were to have a super app i. the US, its has to change its monetization model or features to earn more money, because there are no oversight and has to listen to shareholders.

  5. A super app is stupid you’re just essentially using other apps within the app by clicking links or buttons to get to the other platform. Why not just click to another app on the phone screen. It’s just not needed

  6. When North Korea attacks South Korea, America and its allies always intervene with other countries, and bring other countries to attack North Korea in the name of the UN and under the pretext of eliminating communism? Israel was not attacked when it attacked weak Palestine, America, Europe and their allies did not attack Israel in the name of the UN and under the pretext of destroying colonialism?? America and its allies are trash countries!, destroying the stability and peace of other countries. only defend their country and group for the sake of their HEGEMONY, don't just care about world peace!!! and America is useless as the number one country economically and militarily in the world, which only favors one country and group, cannot be used as an example!!😢😢the best style in the world but still needs consumers from other countries🤔

  7. There won't be any american super apps because one company tries making one, other companies that will have their apps stepped on will sue the former.

  8. Yeah, great idea, let’s give them more power. Each day we are a little closer to the cyberpunk reality, with super powerful companies, the governments will have only secondary roles

  9. Question will you trust one company with all your data? company like facebook or twitter? will you trust the owner of this company like Musk or others?
it could be only one company that could do it it is Apple, not a fun, but they have everything that need for it
