They both should be on stage during the presentation regardless of who wins.
This was bad on the part of Cricket Australia. When the Trophy BGT is named after both the Legends – Border & Gavaskar, and when both were present at the ground, then both of them should have presented the Trophy to the winning captain ( irrespective of which team were the winners) . This was a disrespect shown towards Mr Sunil Gavaskar for sure.
Sunil is unreasonably arrogant and full of ego he was in US and his attitude was so bad i didnt even want to meet or see this guy again lol like get the f out of here

In fact, I was frantically looking for Sunnybhai at presentation.The trophy 🏆 itself looked 'half" without Sunnybhai's presence! Whatever, Sunnybhai should have been there! कैसे लोग है यार!? No.I was not happy ! It's simply not cricket! 😔

CA is aware Gavaskar is a Gutkha seller now so a cancer promoter . Infact Gavaskars name shud be deleted from the trophy . What is Gavaskars msg to young cricketers ? Eat Gutkha ? How can CA associate with cancer promoter ? Where is the question of respect to a cancer promoter ? That they allowed him commentary in Australia is below thier standards . BCCI infact shud ban Gavaskar .
Shame on Cricket Australia to have done that. The main reason I can think of can be attributed to the snub that Narendra Modi gave Pat Cummins – no shaking hands for winning the ODI World Cup. Date it back. Every incident will have some memory. Mr. Sunil Gavaskar has always been my childhood hero and the 1983 WC win still in my eyes.
