World leaders congratulate Donald Trump on his inauguration as President | ABS-CBN News

Leaders from around the world congratulated Donald Trump as he was inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States on Monday (January 20).
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed the “great alliance” between Israel and the U.S. in a video posted on X, predicting that under Trump’s leadership, “the best days of our lives are yet to come.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a video posted on X that Trump’s new tenure offered an opportunity for “true peace” and said Ukrainians would work with Americans to achieve this.
Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer referred to his country’s “special relationship” with the United States in his video message congratulating the new President on X.
As he did in 2017, Trump enters office as a disruptive force, vowing to remake the federal government and expressing deep skepticism about the U.S.-led alliances that have shaped post-World War Two global politics.
