    – "No, it's very important. It's just that I haven't met anyone who's doing it."

    The writers showing off here, with a very rare use of "government", not as the word describing the community of ministers, MP's and people working the instutions, but as the word describing the act of Britain being governed. Nowadays we would sometimes rather call it "the governing of Britain".

  2. The scene leaves out the nastier part of the goodbye. Jim's intentions are good, but he's not as different as he thinks he is from the patronizing jerks he's trying to change, and she calls him out on it. Also, that part of her speech where she explains that she wants achievement she can point to mirrors what Jim said earlier in the episode, only he had to compromise while she gets to reach what she strives for. This is an episode that really takes a bite out of its characters.
